About Us

The Nashville SharePoint Users Group (SUG) was founded in mid-2008 to ensure that you have a place to come and engage with other people who are interested in learning the capabilities that SharePoint can bring to their business. We also want to provide a forum for you to share your knowledge and experiences with other members of the group.

Our meeting topics will range from deep development, operations, infrastructure, general administration, info for business users, and product showcases.

Daniel's vision for the Nashville SUG is for this group to be a premium resource in the Nashville and surrounding areas for SharePoint information for everyone, including developers, administrators, and business users. As an organization, we should provide the opportunity for everyone to come and gain useful SharePoint insight from world-class speakers and fellow professionals, and promote the SharePoint community in the Middle Tennessee area.

About: Daniel is a SharePoint MCTS and is working as a Web Administrator in the Nashville area. He has been working with SharePoint since the SharePoint Portal 2001 and STS (v1) days. He is married and has two wonderful boys.

Jim's vision is to support an engaging, interactive users group that promotes the growth and development of the local SharePoint community. In that vision as Speaker Coordinator, Jim hopes to get plenty of communication on the challenges that YOU are facing, so that poignant speakers can be brought in to address the most pressing matters, and create resources to "scratch where it really itches"!

About: U.S. Partner Marketing Manager at SharePoint Solutions whose main role is to be an evangelistic liaison between Microsoft and SharePoint Solutions. Jim's prior background in telecommunication sales and computer training sales in the Tennessee area has been well established.

Chris' vision is for the Nashville SUG to be one of the most prominent user groups in the city. He envisions the Nashville SUG to be the first source of information for Nashville professionals in regards to SharePoint needs or information.

About: Client Engagement Manager with Carlisle & Gallagher Consulting Group. Chris is a 1995 Auburn University graduate and is married with a beautiful daughter. He has been working with SharePoint since 2003 in various capacities.
